43rd National Environmental Health Conference

The 43rd Environmental Health Association National Conference was held at Esplanade Hotel in Fremantle from 30th October to 2nd November.

The conference addressed a diverse range of issues that are dealt with by Environmental Health Practitioners. Dr Kellie Pendoley gave an invited presentation on the human health impact of artificial light.

The presentation provided a useful overview of issues associated with artificial light that affect us all, from the effects of outdoor lighting on human health, obtrusive lighting management at government level and the limitations inherent in the current Australian Standard to control obtrusive lighting.
