International Dark Sky Week is here! 4th – 10th April 2016

The International Dark Sky Association's (IDA) International Dark Sky Week starts today and runs from 4 - 10 April 2016. The event draws attention to the widespread environmental impacts of light pollution and promotes simple solutions to solve it.

Dr Kellie Pendoley, Director of Pendoley Environmental Pty Ltd, is an elected member to the Board of Directors of the IDA. In collaboration with the Perth Observatory, she developed Sky42TM, a trademarked technology that measures light, providing biologically meaningful results that pinpoint problem light sources and identify impacts to wildlife and ecosystems.
